Fabulously living with NMO.
My name is Aldelly and I’m fabulously living with neuromyelitis optica(Devic’s disease). A rare demyelinating inflammatory disease that has rocked my world. I’m in my early 30’s, a mother of two young active boys, a wife to the best husband ever, a proud daughter of immigrant parents, a sister and so much more. I graduated from Salem State University (major in Spanish Professionalism, minor in Social Work). I'm also a certified translator and public notary for the state of MA. Oh, I forgot to mention I’m also a certified phlebotomist. Due to my disease, I’ve dedicated my time to being a stayed at home mom/wife while also working on myself physically and mentally. I’m using this blog as a therapy to help alleviate, share and expose the reality of NMO from a patient perspective. My hope with starting this blog is to help someone living with a demyelinating disease with my experience. Mi nombre es Aldelly y fabulosamente vivo con neuromielitis óptica (enfermedad de Devic). Una rara enfermedad inflamatoria desmielinizante que ha sacudido mi mundo. Tengo un poco más de 30 años, soy madre de dos niños activos, esposa del mejor marido del mundo, orgullosa hija de padres inmigrantes, hermana y mucho más. Me gradué de Salem State University (especialización en Profesionalismo en Español y Trabajodora Social). También soy traductora certificada y notaría pública del estado de MA. Por igual, también soy un flebotomista certificada. Debido a mi enfermedad me e dedicado a ser ama de casa y al mismo tiempo trabajar en mi salud física y mental. Estoy usando este blog como terapia para mí, al igual que ayudar a aliviar, compartir y exponer la realidad de esta enfermedad (nmo) desde la perspectiva del paciente. Mi esperanza es ayudar a alguien que vive con una enfermedad desmielinizante y darles esperanza de que no estan solos. ¡Espero que disfruten de mis blogs!
